very interesting indeed.

 

at a construction price point of approx $110k per unit, it really provides opportunity for affordable housing options. I wonder what the average unit sizes will be...

Wouldn't New Urbanism principles indicate the driveways and garage entrances should be in the back of the building, or even have the front face a park/pedestrian area and the car entrance face a street or a drive coming off a street? Can this development really be touted as an example of "New Urbanism" if it only espouses some of the elements that characterize the style?

These are definitely just townhomes nothing new urban about them.

Also you'd have to deal with Forest Park's crazy high property taxes.

Where is this "Forest Park" you speak of?  Do you mean Forest Hill?

I grew up in that area and there were almost no new homes built around there during that entire time.  It's crazy how many new neighborhoods have gone up.
