Great photo, trill. The Northside has the best views of DTFW. There's a small park on the Northside (I can't think of the name, but there's a Dairy Queen nearby), where some friends of mine lived. It had a great view of DTFW and was great for photos.
Thanks, vjackson.Sorry for the poor quality of my pics.I'm using a basic digital camera, and I am a photography novice.I will try to bring my skills up to par.
There's a DQ on Northside Dr.The only park I can think of thats nearby is Marine Park.NSHS has a great view of DT also.I'ma have to make up there pretty soon, so I'll capture the scenery for the FW Daily Digital!

I got some great shot off the parking garage across from there.

Bigger here.
The old, vacant College Ave. Baptist Church rec building. I would LOVE to buy this and do a loft conversion on it. As I understand it, it even has a swimming pool in the first floor.
If I had money...
I looked at the building several years ago, around the time I'd given up on them ever doing anything with the Bank One Building, may still have the pictures. The owner would NOT come down off the price; had turned it into a ballet school. Top floor was a basket ball gym turned into a recital hall, 20’ plus ceilings with cantilevered glass window crown of sorts in the center, those kind you always see someone falling through in big city action movies, but the roof had been leaking ran down the walls in one corner and rotted all the floor joists so when you walked to about half to three quarters court the floor started sinking and bouncing.
There is a pool on the ground floor, filled in and floored over and the parking lot next to it does not come with it, would cost a fortune just to make it safe.
Pretty good size though, would make about 6 really good sized lofts with four of them in a loft / artist-retail studio on the ground floor, but you'd have to buy the lots next to it for parking, cost unknown.
You would think, Sundance Square being what it is that you’d have at least SOMEONE building or converting places into lofts with ground floor studio / retail options. Hasn't it crossed anyone's mind that those very people in the Fort Worth Arts Festival would set up shop down here; if there were only places where they could.

Just a couple of shots of the lovely post-apocalyptic nightmare cloud that engulfed urban Fort Worth yesterday:
Awsome shots AG!!! What's that red building in the first photo between the the Firestone Apts and Cash America? I don't recognize it.

Okay, thanks. I didn't know it was that far along. It looks very governmental, almost jail-like. What a shame.

Wonderful shots Texastrill. I grew up in Handley and haven't seen the "main drag" in years. That part of town has so much potential. Hopefully one day it will be realized.

Once again, great pic AG. I've never cared for that building, but the b&W photography plus the angle makes it look really good!!!
Thanks! I am also not a fan of 500 West 7th, but when I saw the reflected, distorted light playing on the wall I couldn't resist getting a shot of it. I took it from my 4th floor loft in the Electric Building, which gives it a unique angle compared to ground shots of the building.

A little 3-1 woodframe house on Craig St down the street from the park. After my dad got a much better job, my parents moved into a new home (with three bathrooms!!!!) further north in Meadowbrook near I-30. And after I moved back to FW from Atlanta, before moving to Dallas, I purchased a home near Cooks Lane, so I've always remained faithful to the Eastside.

A friend has got me on a kick of taking pictures of my bikes at different landmarks... a family album of sorts.
I just wanted to share this one... through the rear wheel you can see two young kids playing in the water, not 50 yards from a drowning memorial with flowers still on it...
