Phillip Pool a renowned architect and urban planner

 

Crystal at US Army Corps of Engineers "Retired Luncheon Club" forwarded this to me today. 

 

Upon graduation, he accepted his commission with the Army Corp of Engineers in Fort Worth where he worked on military base construction throughout the five-state Southwest region.

 

 

 

He has passed... and we SALUTE !

That is a very nice obituary. I only spoke with him briefly (at a forum gathering, if I recall). Reading this reminds one that there are sometimes richly interesting stories in the people you meet. He seems like someone from whom you could learn so much.
