I should know what this is, but each day for the last several weeks I have seen from the CTP new construction going on in Como.

From my views, I would estimate between Horne and Bryant Irvin.

Fairly large, on a hill, two slant roof metal structures.

I have not been able to get over closer to see, but I could guess maybe a community center.

I will try to get pictures at some point, and when we know what it is, perhaps this thread can be moved into the proper section.

Could be Zoli's, the new pizza place on Hulen. your description of the structure sounds like what it currently looks like. It's a very unique structure.

It is hard to match up that rendering with the structure as it looks from the CTP bridge over Edwards Ranch Road, or the view getting on Northbound CTP at Arborlawn.  The site must be at a peak of a hill making it more prominent than the rendering suggests.

The site very much is on the top of a crest/hill. I think it may be on the site of the Chamberlin Ball Park if you search a googlemap.

If you drive on Horne between Camp Bowie and Vickery you get a nice look at the site. The building is quite large as well.

Here's an article about the tension between the needs of the school, which serves almost exclusively children from Como, and the residents of the properties where they're trying to expand.

Thanks for finding that. I figured there was probably more to the story considering the land acquisition involved.

Kind of meh that they are tearing down affordable housing on small lots to build a facility that could go somewhere else.
