It's hard to believe, but on April 17th, this website will have been in existence for 25 years.  I started it in 1997 with just a listing of Downtown buildings, addresses, architects, and dates.  On the first day, the site had no photographs.

I don't know if we are going to have any kind of celebration, because getting together may be risky.  It's also hard to predict what will be happening with the pandemic in 3 months.  I'm just glad that I have been able to provide the website free of charge to the city and the world.

Thanks for the comment!  I still have a lot to do on the site, but I just take it one day at a time.

I didn't want to derail any other threads, so I decided to post this here.  I wanted to say thank you for all of the many and differing posts that were made today.  I was pretty busy at work and I had to pay a site visit to an unglamorous project that I'm starting at Southwest High School.  It's to provide an accessible route from the parking lot to the Baseball Field.  Current access is a long flight of stairs.

Today marks the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of Architecture in Fort Worth as a website.  Obviously, I don't have any celebration for it, but I did want to post it here on the forum that today was the day.  I would like to thank all of you for participating in the Forum discussions.

Thank you John for all you do to support this important exchange of information about our city.

And congratulations on the quarter-century milestone!

Only a few more years and we can landmark the website!

April 17, 1997 was the founding date of the website.  It has been a lot of fun for me to share information about my city.  I thank all of you for your support.  The reason that I almost let it slide is that I had my booster vaccine on Friday evening, and I had some issues yesterday, but I didn't sleep last night.  I was very draggy and sleepy until about 2 this afternoon.

Thank you, RD.

I have been in a rut lately, so I decided to take a day trip. I ventured further away from home yesterday than I had since the pandemic started.  I went to Hillsboro and Waco.  I will have some pictures to post.
