I didn't know cities had official city birds.

I think some do and some don't. This isn't a bad choice. I'm seeing more and more bluebirds when I'm out on the trails or in some of the larger parks.

I am so down with this. I love that it has a slight purple tint to it's color which ties it in with TCU the use of purple on the 7th St Bridge and City Hall

I have seen many of them on the Trinity Trails. If you don't look closely, you might just think they are another small bird. Back when I was doing some photography for my office, I was sent out to our Game On location near I-820 and I-30. A pair of bluebirds had a nest in one of the newly planted trees, and I stood under that tree to take a photograph. I was dive bombed by the nesting couple. They were very aggressive for a small bird.
