I've never been a fan of al fresco dining. Especially in Texas. But I had lunch with friends at Hudson House today and it has become, by far, my favorite Fort Worth restaurant. They had outdoor options, but we chose to eat inside. Bugs, heat, wind, sun glare, car exhaust - just no to outdoor dining.

A list of items proposed for the bond was presented to council yesterday. The list is here: https://www.fortwort.../3/bond-preview
Fort Worth Water Gardens, $10 million.
I love it. Though if it passes, I'll be dead of old age before they use it. They're still sitting on $6 million they got in the last bond election and to my knowledge haven't touched it. They haven't even spent the money Council gave them last March to hire Freese Nichols to make repair recommendations. I'll keep repeating "no one is in charge to make this happen."

I know this train has left the station (and gone wobbly moving down the tracks), but the Lanham building might have been a good choice for the new city hall. The southwest area of downtown is really going to need a boost after city hall moves full time to the Pier One building, and especially now if the Lanham building goes dark.

I know this will not be a popular position on the forum, but I just don't think the ROI on urban rail would make sense in Fort Worth. I see daily the empty Molly the Trolley, the orange line, and the Route 1 bus moving through downtown with no or very few people riding. BTW, why are Trinity Metro busses so BIG? Especially when they have so few riders? I think the folks in Austin are having some major buyers remorse for approving raising property taxes to build urban rail that is still many years away.
