This may not be the appropriate category for this post, but curious if anyone has heard about the Xander apartment complex; boarded up and all the tenants are gone.

I've been monitoring that too. It was sold earlier this year to this company: https://www.trigild.com/

Have not seen any demo or remodel permits or anything but I assume that is coming soon.

This tells you how old the complex is, but when I was a kid, it was the luxury apartment complex on the West Side.  The original name was Ridgmar Square Behind the Wall.

The apartments were built in 1964 in Ridgmar, which was developed by Marvin Leonard (Leonard's Department Store). The Master Plan for the development called for two 23 story apartment buildings to be built further to the north.  These never materialized.

My company is moving into Rigmar Center in a month so I'll have a window seat to whatever they build there. Kind of a bad location being next to a freeway. I wouldn't be surprised if it became a gas station or another one of those gas well pads or something lame.

This area appears to have suffered from the adverse economic plight of Ridgmar Mall located further to the north.  But Trigild's "Legacy of Innovation" logo makes me optimistic.   Maybe a future mixed-use project to replace the old apartment complex?

"Behind the Wall" was the place in Fort Worth for young partying people to live in the 1980's... just sayin'

No, I never lived there...
