Does anyone know what is being done with the abondoned Joe's Crab shack at Bryant Irvin and I-20? Also any info on the empty Larry's Shoes next to Hulen Mall?

I don't know about "Joe's Crab shack" but the "Larry's Shoes" is the future location for In-N-Out Burger, I think.

I believe ron4life is correct. Larry's is shown on the current mall site plan to be a future In-n-Out Burger. There is about to be another vacancy around the mall when the Container Store moves from it's current location to the former Border's books location in the Chapel hill shopping center.

I'd heard that the Joe's Crab Shack was closed for remodeling and would reopen, but that was several years ago. It could be that they're waiting for all the Chisholm Trail Parkway work to finish ... even when there wasn't any construction, Joe's was tricky to get to.

RoomStore is going out of business too, so that will be one more vacant building on the mall's perimeter.

Shouldn't be that hard to get to.

Construction fencing has gone up around Larry's Shoes. Looks like demolition is imminent.

I was going to post the apparent demolition of Larry's Shoes today, but you beat me to it.

I always thought the Larry's building would be great for a small upscale restaurant.

It's gone. I went by there on my way home from work.

I would agree with you NSFW, but obviously they decided a drive thru In-N-Out would be better at that location.

You will probably have to enter Hulen Mall to go to the In-N-Out. I don't think TxDOT would allow an extremely bad situation become worse by having a drive entering from the service road.
