Looks like you can access Lyft Bikes through the same Lyft app. Fort Worth doesn’t show any stations, but I did a check for Brooklyn, it looks simple to use. A nice bonus is if you earn Chase, hotel, or airline points from Lyft rides. The bikes seem to work the same way.

I walked today along the trails near Westbend and the docking station looks like it was already installed but there were no bikes docked.  What I liked about Lyft bikes in other cities that I have used them is that they bikes are charged at the station and the batteries don't need to be swapped out by a service technician.   A much better alternative to what we previously had.

I thought B Cycles also charged at the stations?

No they didn't.  They had a battery attached that had to be manually switched out by a service technician.

I've been attending the transit mixers held by Community Design Fort Worth. One thing I learned about the new bike share system is that unfortunately, at launch it will not be as extensive as the old system. The new system is going to start out with only downtown and the surrounding area.

For instance, while I heard that Trinity Park and WestBend will have docks, Clearfork and Waterside will not have docks at the time of launch.

This docking station looks nice.  I will be glad when it is back up and running.

Bikes have begun rolling out. You can download the app and see which stations are up and running and have bikes. Looks like about 25 or so stationsout so far.
