Some temporary banner sign permits filed for the project.  I'm guessing this is announcing the project completion / for lease etc?  Anyone set eyes on this?

Yesterday, half the sidewalk/brick work looked done. I’ll try to take a photo this weekend.

I want to say there already was a permanent sign up when I drove by. They look maybe 2 months out from opening.

Photos from late morning. I take back my estimate on the opening date. All the activity seemed to be landscaping activity. Maybe move-ins will start in a few weeks. You can see the Highline Magnolia signage up.

Looing West on Magnolia & looking South from S Adams. The streetscape will be nice to have back. The mature trees look great.

I noticed the signage on my way home from taking some field measurements in Downtown on Wednesday.  I also drove by PS 1200 and was spotted by Austin55 over there.

It's so weird to see this building from the backside and how it was clearly value engineered.  I don't mind it as much when it is kept "behind the curtain" but it does make me think that they property looks cheap from the rear.

Also, I wonder what type of retail will occupy the retail spaces alongside Magnolia St.  Does anyone care to take a guess or give a suggestion?

Oh wow, just noticed that backside shot from TLA now that you mentioned it and yeah that looks totally "Disney."  Did they just resort to using vinyl siding?  Check out how shallow those balconies are, must be purely decorative.  I'm liking this project less and less the more I look at it.

Those balconies are not very big.  I think they are just large enough to stand on, or maybe put one small chair to the side.

I'm saddened the articulation in the roofline was cut from the final design. Ended up looking a bit more boxy than I'd hoped.

Fences are down. What does everyone on the forum think of the building now that it is nearly done?

I like the corner facing entrances.

I love it, I think it fits the street perfectly.

Though not exactly like the first renderings, I still like it, especially keeping the tree.

Now... if only the hotel could get started . . .

This turned out well. The maturing trees around it will make it seem like it’s been there longer than it has. Hopefully the success of this building will continue infill between Magnolia and Rosedale.

I like the building a lot too. I mentioned before it is a bummer to see the roof articulation cut out,

The pattern in the tile is also a bit odd, the lines are just so small you can't really tell from any distance.

I agree completely Austin.  That was one of the small details I loved about the renderings and it was the first things I noticed that was changed during construction.

Those windows - what again do you call that when the dividers (divided lites/lights?) are sandwiched inside the glass but not put on the outside as well?
Those bug me - look cheap.  Does it really cost more when ordering windows to include on outside of window panes, not only between the layers of glass?

Mullions, muntins, or grills.

Unless you have a true divided light window, where the window is made of multiple panes of glass, they are all technically kind of fake these days.   :D

Understand they're not the old type of true divided lite.

But, dont you agree the ones that have the simulated divided lite (on the OUTSIDE OF THE GLASS) look much better than those that only put them on the interior between the two panes of glass?

Even though I am not a fan of the new simulated divided lite windows, the ones that are on the outside of the glass do look much better than the ones on the inside.
