I agree with your overall points about accessibility of this location and its inconvenient distance for Tarrant residents. But this is no longer the fringes of the Metroplex. I've seen references to Frisco as an inner suburb, which made me spit out my coffee. Developers see Prosper as the next ring, then Celina (I believe the fastest growing city in the Metroplex) and Melissa a step farther, then Gunter and Van Alstyne as the outer ring. And the way Sherman is getting more manufacturing business, the growth will come southward too.

Several Fort Worth restaurants in the Dallas Morning News' preview roundup. Dallas-Fort Worth's most exciting new restaurants and bars opening in 2023

F1 Smokehouse, which I thought we'd covered in the Forum but am not finding any references to. Felipe Armenta and Graham Elliott are moving F1 from Clearfork to the Cultural District near the Crescent hotel. Opening end of January.

Le Margot, also by Armenta and Elliott, which we have discussed here. French cuisine in the former Corner Bakery spot in Tanglewood, opening in April.

This one is new to us: Maiden, which the Morning News columnist calls the region's "most fascinating new restaurant coming in 2023 ... Theres nothing like it in Dallas-Fort Worth." Eight-course vegan fine dining from the owner of Spiral Diner. Opening late spring or early summer at 1216 Sixth Ave., near PS1200.

The article also mentions, "Armenta and Elliott also plan to open a steakhouse in Mule Alley named Cowboy Prime and an Italian restaurant in Benbrook."
