Hemp-hill and Hem-fill
Bell-nap and Belk-nap
And then there's my GPS that thinks the first syllable of Hulen is pronounced Hull.

I had a friend years back try to convince me Llano was pronounced in a Spanish way, EE-ahn-O. Na it’s just Lan-O.
The best part about that one is that it's phonetically when referring to the city, but with the Spanish pronunciation for Llano Estacado.

Has there been a thread on Fort Worth pronunciations? Bowie is fairly known for Texans, but I’m not sure how Monticello is said. Cello or Cell-O?

It is a spanish word and should be pronounced Ya-No but it has be anglicized to Lan-O.
It should be Monti-Chell-O, because it is an italian word but it has been anglicized to cell-o. Just like people call San Felipe... San Phillip

I've heard both sets of these street pronunciations:
Hemp-hill and Hem-fill
Bell-nap and Belk-nap
And then there's my GPS that thinks the first syllable of Hulen is pronounced Hull.
With regard to Hemphill, it's easy to remember that "hemp" and "hill" are two separate words. We often pronounce the "ph" digraph as an "f" sound (namely in words of Greek origin), but since the name Hemphill is a compound word (Hemp/hill), the "ph" shouldn't be treated as a digraph.
I personally say Bell-nap for Belknap, treating the "k" as a silent letter as in the word "knight." On that note about "hull-en," I wonder if the pronunciation of Hulen is becoming a sort of shibboleth?

The new season of the Netflix show Girls5Eva, about fictional pop singers, has a song called "Tap Into Your (Fort) Worth." https://youtu.be/MLTlvc9soHU
Huh. You weren't kidding.
Got my best boots on, smile on my face
Can't believe we're from this place
Thirteenth biggest in the States
Can a town be your soulmate?
East Exchange Avenue
Steers in my rear-view
Gonna hit what USA Today calls
The second-best zoo
[Chorus]
'Cause Cowtown is a wow-town
With a walkable downtown
It's time to tap into your Fort Worth
Worth! Worth! Worth!
[Verse 2]
It's got no hipsters, like Austin
Or Wahlbergs, like Boston
Or tech bros, like Austin
Or Afflecks, like Boston
Now, some say Omaha Zoo is second best, but that's a lie
Because their red panda is always inside
It's nеver out on the tree, yeah, yеah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
And the Trinity River's getting better
Parts are even swimmable
It's no longer called the mythological river of death
'Cause when the West begins, it's where your best begins
It's time to tap into your Fort Worth
Time to tap into your Fort Worth
The home of Hagman and Meester
Capshaw and Schieffer
Tap into your Fort Worth
One look and you'll love it too
No wonder Jesus went to TCU
It was early decision
See, I know, I'm worth it
Y'all know, you're worth it
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram knows they're worth it
That's why their site has a paywall
'Cause Cowtown is a wow town
With a walkable downtown
It's time to tap into your Fort Worth
The home of Hagman and Meester
Capshaw and Schieffer
Of museums and parks and
Also Kelly Clarkson (Also Kelly Clarkson)
Tap into your Forth Worth
Worth, worth, worth (Yeehaw)

I honestly don't know how to feel about this.

The limelight of Fort Worth is often forsaken by the public at large, many of whom view our city as being "in the shadow" of Dallas. No pun intended, but news coverage of the solar eclipse mostly highlighted Dallas as the focal point of solar eclipse viewing in north Texas. For me, the media's Dallas focus was so overdone that I thought there would not be solar eclipse viewing in Fort Worth. Then I went on Google to see the path of totality across the country. With all Google maps, Dallas appears first, then you have zoom in to get Fort Worth and Arlington. So, I saw our city (and Arlington and surrounding communities) was 100% for viewing. As it turned out, the clouds parted enough to allow us a true period of darkness.

This was from this past March, from the Sports Business Journal:
Dickies Arena brings more sports events to ‘Where the West Begins’
For more than a century Fort Worth’s slogan has been “Where the West Begins.” It would seem that when it comes to hosting sporting events, they are just getting started.
