Sad news for mechanics and the City of Fort Worth. (And North Texas, for sure.)
Looks like 1100 workers to be let go.

Over the weekend, my sister endured a 4 hour delay at DFW on her way to meet up with us in Atlanta, courtesy of American and their faulty equipment - seems to me they need to hang on to what maintenance facilities they have!

That's not what Alliance did, though. That would be a "line repair" that delayed her flight. Alliance does depot repairs/major overhauls.

The Hanger has been leased. GDC Technics, which modifies large commercial aircraft for VIPs. Could see some rather interesting planes at the airport then. Expects to employ around 600 in the next five years.
