Speaking of Nuclear Attack, I remember that when the fireworks plant at Jacksboro Highway and Skyline Drive exploded, my friend Junior Farr of Farr's Grocery on Azle Ave. by the water tower thought that a nuclear attack had happened at Carswell and he herded his customers into the freezer. Those were the good old days for sure.

I bought a brand new 1952 Ford convertable for aprox.$ 3600.00 from Frank Kent Ford that was in a big building with showroom right on North Main in what is now area next to Billy Bob's building. Later on Frank would take over Cadillac dealership and open on Lancaster Av.
