As a resident of Belmont Terrace I am kinda torn with this proposal... I like the fact that it is a new project in a long abandoned area that has great access to all the main areas of Fort Worth but I despise the look of the project. It just looks cheap IMO and does not look inviting at all.

I really think this area has great potential. I think it needs a couple of hotels, some retail and an apartment or 2. Keep the Go Karts and Mini Golf though.

Small blurb on this

Where to be located? Article doesn't say. I find it amusing that a three-story apartment building is being called a "tower."

"Construction is scheduled to begin in February 2022 and to be complete by late 2023"
a lot can happen between now and ground breaking, but the rendering is attractive. It's amazing what a little brick can add.

Tower
1 : a building or structure typically higher than its diameter and high relative to its surroundings that may stand apart (such as a campanile) or be attached (such as a church belfry) to a larger structure and that may be fully walled in or of skeleton framework (such as an observation or transmission tower).

I see where you are going with this but let's let them have their day in the sun for a moment. I am just excited about some new construction in that area which is in need of a reimagining and a direction.

I already aired my small complaints about that months ago... Just trying to figure out why they went with "Tower".

Best I can tell, here's the (or one of the) parcels based on HTG Jacksboro, LLC filing for Zoning Verification. Current zoning "MU-2"

It's interesting those lots all extend back to the riverbank. I normally view this from the opposite side of the river while biking on the Trinity Trails. Two doors down they are either planning to tear down or already have torn down Summer's Cafe and build a Katie's Car Wash. It's sort of a unique collection of properties. I still have a bit of mixed feelings about this. What else could be built back here?

I'm not sure what can be built because it is floodplain... I would love it if it was more open space... possibly a small park with some trails to better connect the northern side of the river with the Trinity trails. If any type of structure was made in the area it would have to be built up to avoid potential flooding

The Park Tower bldg permit hit Accela today. Either their TDLR estimated job value had an extra "1" in front of the figure or they dropped $10M off the cost of the job on the permit below perhaps to fit a better fee schedule?

Considering the transmission shop next door, I hope they properly aligned their expectations for the property. Although, you raise a good point if considering the amount of noise (from the car wash blowers, big radios, vacuums), traffic / outsiders that a big automated car wash brings. Thankfully those are really deep lots so that could help plus really good fencing would help too.

I have heard some rumors of the 1221 project and it sounds like it could be something quite fancy.

A Zoning Change was filed for 1221 Jacksboro Hwy. "Proposed Use:Commercial, Mixed Use, Hotel", which I understand is to the west of the Park Tower project.

It's been there for about 7 or 8 months

It's crazy only 1.79 acres of 8.779 acres are buildable. They really call out La Pulga Distillery and Future Boutique Hotel as if it is a done deal.

So... can the rest of it be "lake space", or...?

I have envisioned that as Lake space... maybe with some trails and boat rentals.

Looks like La Pulga has their team for the distillery. No set plans for opening as of yet.

I was trying to figure out what this construction fence is for at this location east of Henderson?
Location of fence is roughly here at the arrow:
