The old Caravan Inn on Jacksboro Hwy. is being torn down to make way for another QT. Most people might not remember the place but will recognize the palm tree sign. Sorry, I don't have a photo of the sign.

I remember reading something about it in the FW Weekly last year. I hope someone saves the sign. I believe the similar location on Division is still there.

When John asked on the Local Neon thread which local neon sigins were our favorites, this is one of the first I thought of. It and the Williams Ranch House signs were a couple of the landmarks on my way from my Dad's house in Mansfield to my Mom's house in Lake Worth (and later Azle). I had wondered if it was still there.

The Caravan on Division is still there and I believe it's open for business. When I went to take pictures of neon on Division, I had hoped to get a shot of that one. Unfortunately it wasn't lit. Not sure if it still has neon.

I forgot to post this photo. This was taken as demolition had already been in progress.

Could this be the end of the Caravan Motor Hotel in Arlington.  The other side the building looked like it was already being demo'd or just falling apart.  (I would totally put some out of town guest up here!!  Kidding)

I know it won't be, but that sign is worth saving. The rest of it, not really.
