It would be fabulous to have both the old bottling plant and the public market restored. The windows on the West side of the bottling plant were lovely, it would be nice to see them brought back.

I just wish the Bottling Plant had more of a public-facing use but a medical office is probably better use than sitting empty.  I do appreciate the new owner of the Public Market being open-minded about allowing the public to enjoy the space again.  The thing with birthing centers is they typically need to be within a stone's throw of a major hospital and that location on Henderson certainly checks that box.  I believe their current location is just up the road a bit at 622 Hemphill in a smaller facility.

Thanks to an anonymous tip, there has been some recent property sale activity (as of 5/16/23) for 1401 Henderson to a "FWB HOLDINGS LLC."  This comes back to Fort Worth Birthing and Wellness Center.  Let's see what this holds as far as a potential renovation of this site.  I don't even think they need to get this rezoned if they're using it for another medical office do they?  I think birthing centers are normally beds, tubs, offices and exam rooms....don't ask how I know this.
