Nice shots John! I was curious what the inside of Hotel Revel looked like and found some photos posted on Google:
I didn't realize Aloft had a swimming pool!

Nitixope, I have seen the interior photos of the Hotel Revel, and I agree that it is a super cool addition to the Near Southside. I hope to see more buildings like this being built.
I knew that the Aloft had a swimming pool. I think Austin has been inside the pool area.

Austin, you are correct. I think it is in the part where the subway could have been extended. It's more toward the library and City Place One.

It is a nice shot; but what DTFW lacks in somethings it makes up in beauty.

Austin inspired me to go out and take some skyline shots this afternoon. I really should have had my larger lens with me, but what I had did work.
This is my favorite photo. It is the skyline from the Trinity Trails, just south of Northside Drive. There is a trail head just a few yards from where I took the photograph.
On this one, I was shooting around a posted "No Trespassing" property. I was on the city street, but I did not tarry very long.
This one is from the intersection of NE 29th and Schwartz Ave.
Finally, the view from the hilltop on Lawther Drive in River Oaks. The building thunderstorm in the far background that's cropped off was west of Gun Barrel City. It built up rapidly and before I left the site, it fizzled out.
I hope you enjoyed some of my skyline photos. I wanted to hit more locations, but I got a little hot, tired, and hungry.

Burnett Plaza looks like a completely different building from its side profile.

After the rains, Sunday was a great afternoon to take photographs.

I posted the Water Gardens photograph above on all of my social media accounts and I have received more responses and comments than I have on any other posts. The interesting thing was that I decided at the last minute to walk through there and most of the lights on the fountains were turned off. When I saw the active pool had people walking down, and the lights were on here, I decided to grab a few shots with my cell phone. It was the only camera I had with me at the time.

Yes, you may. Contact me, if you need the file. You can do that either through the forum messenger, or by e-mail.

It is amazing how much that area has changed.
Based on the shadows I'm guessing it is an early afternoon picture, and here in the terrible heat of the summer, but it is interesting how few humans I can spot, and few cars rolling on the side streets. It makes me think about what density brings and doesn't bring for vibrancy of an area -- of course I know this same area is mobbed at night and that far more than makes up for daytime use.

Last week, I was also on Houston Street and I took a photo of the Omni Fort Worth Hotel entrance, lobby, and ballroom area. All of the lights were on, as it was getting dark. This was just a snapshot. I wished that I had stood in the center of the column bay so everything would have been equal.

Austin55, I agree. I took quite a few evening pictures after my tour last week. I wish that I had stayed around longer, but I was getting tired, and I had not eaten dinner. It was after 9 PM when I arrived home. I still had to go to work the next day.
