A new Dairy Queen Concept is coming to Bowen & Park Row in Pantego.  It's called Grill & Chill and it is supposed to open on May 16th.  Below is a link to an article in the Business Press.

It sounds like a franchisee (Lickety Split) jumped into the business, bit off too much too quick, and couldn't pay the bills.

 

Looks like there will be some nice buildings available for taquerias and pho houses.

The Benbrook DQ closed quite some time back.  I think the highway construction on US 377 is what killed them.  Even before the DQ closed, the Jack in the Box shut down.  Whataburger was near I-20, but during the construction, they built and relocated southward on the highway at Sproles.
