Every 10 years, the City Council District Boundaries are rearranged to provide each district with approximately equal numbers. A few years back, the voters of the city chose to add two new council districts. With adding these districts, the boundaries of all of the districts will be adjusted. In the first week of the new year, the Redistricting Task Force narrowed the new maps down from 26 to 7.
