Every 10 years, the City Council District Boundaries are rearranged to provide each district with approximately equal numbers.  A few years back, the voters of the city chose to add two new council districts.  With adding these districts, the boundaries of all of the districts will be adjusted.  In the first week of the new year, the Redistricting Task Force narrowed the new maps down from 26 to 7.

 

To read the article on the process and the selections, follow the link to Redistricting from the Fort Worth Report.  This article lists the 7 chosen maps with the map tables linked.  However, to see the actual maps, you must go to the City of Fort Worth's Website for this:

Is District 11 new?  I don't see it on the "current" map.

Districts 10 and 11 are the two new added City Council Districts.  Both of them are not on the current map because they didn't exist until the election, and won't have a representative until after the elections are over and they are sworn in.
