Someone currently serving on the city designated Hemphill Corridor Task Force has said that UNT plans to build its own Medical school next to JPS.

Money talks.
TCU was willing to pay for increased improvements at an accelerated pace and UNT didn't want to invest more at the same pace. So an arraignment was meet that both sides got something out of the deal.
I noticed a lot of projects listed at that campus last year, and most were pretty good sized renovations.

So classes on HSC campus is described as shorter term. Where will they move? In an existing building on TCU campus? I dont think TCU has a new building that is obviously in the works where these classes and labs would go... right?

As much as I could read the ST article before I was blocked, it stated that disagreement over accreditation was the cause of the split. I know nothing of accreditation of a medical school, but I would think you're either fully accredited or you're not. Anyone here have more information on this?

I am hearing that on Feb. 24th there could be a major announcement concerning the medical school. I wonder if they have received the money/donations for the new building on Rosedale?
UNT, HSC, or TCU making an announcement?

The new building will house educations facilities as well as offices for faculty. Building to be completed in 2024. this was supposed to have been announced Thursday but weather did not cooperate.

Here's the ongoing discussion in another section of the forum, although it could probably use a title change since UNT is no longer involved:

Per the fact sheet, the architects are Los Angeles-based CO Architects and Dallas-based Hoefer Welker. Both firms have deep backgrounds in medical education. Linbeck Group will build the project.

I wasn't able to watch but TCU's new school was before the UDC today for street vacation requests on the site.
There was a site-plan in the document.

It's interesting that Dashrose, LLC was formed in Aug of 2017 which would be used for acquiring land for the medical district new TCU Medical School project. Makes me sort of wonder if they weren't already having some hesitancy about the partnership program even back then?

On top of that, they certainly did a lot of fancy footwork in the PR department on trying to smooth over the break-up. "It not you, it's me."

Yes. I knew about the phases. I was talking about the phase 1 building looked like 5 stories but on TDLR they are saying it's going to be 4.

I'm a bit underwhelmed. Certainly has that TCU look to it.
