It was nice to meet you. I'm looking forward to the Walking Tour, which will be held on December 10th. Personally, I hope the weather will be a little better than it has been the last few days.

It really was an enjoyable time. It was nice to meet some new people along with the familiar faces. Everyone's shared keen interest in our city gave us a near endless amount to talk about, and the reduced pressure of needing to get back to the office at a particular time allowed us to cover many, many topics, and even do a spontaneous walk-about in the neighborhood.
Thank you John for making these happen, and of course for providing this forum that lets us share interesting information 24/7.

Roverone, you are welcome and I'm glad that I have an opportunity to provide the forum and the website to the city, as a whole. I will admit that it was nice not to have any pressure to return to work by a certain time.

Sorry I missed. I didn't realize there was a meeting scheduled. Will try for December.

Back in post #245 on this thread, I set up the date for the December Forum Meeting. It will be on Friday, December 30th at Benito's. We will meet around 11:45 and I am off work, taking my last day of vacation in 2022. This means, like the November Meeting, I won't be in a mad dash to get there or to leave. If you all want to walk around Magnolia afterwards, I have the time.

I had a really good time last month talking about things and walking around looking, so I'm going to try to make it also. If we can avoid the small chance of rain, it seems like it is going to be a beautiful day compared with last week's weather.

I don't think I'll make it this time. My wife is arriving back home Thursday after spending some time with her parents, so Friday is her first day back. If she just wants to snooze all day I might make it but if she wants to do anything with me she gets first dibs.

This is just a friendly reminder that the last Forum Meeting of the year will be held tomorrow (Friday) at 11:45 at Benito's Mexican Restaurant on Magnolia. I look forward to seeing the group there.

I regret to say that I'm not going to make it today as I had planned -- heading to a customer in Dallas. I hope you all have a great time today!

Danben26, here's a link to the site where you can sign up for the tour. https://www.timdyoung.com/tours/
The registration button leads you to Eventbrite where you actually sign up. Tim needs a head count so he can see how many tour guides are needed and he prepares breakfast burritos for everyone.

I was going to post it last weekend for this Friday, but I forgot. We will meet at Benito's on Friday, January 27 around 11:45. I'm back at work, so I will be on somewhat of a time constraint and I do run the risk of being late.

I was supposed to have an appliance install from 8-11 and I was optimistic I'd be able to get to lunch, but late Thursday it got bumped back to 11-1 so I missed it. My wife is loving her new range with a double oven though.
Double oven.... that will come in handy around the holidays.

We bought a new oven in our old house shortly before Thanksgiving one year and it wasn't available for install until after the holiday weekend. Only the bottom half of the old oven was working and we rented a warming cabinet from a party rental company. Once you have one, it's hard to manage without.

If you do a lot of entertaining, the double oven is a must-have, even if one is used for warming. Our friends had a home built in the Glade / North Euless / South Grapevine area and the coolest idea was they had two dishwashers installed in their kitchen. They did a ton of entertaining and it made sense while one is running / finished while the other is accumulating enough dishes for a new load. She just had a little flip sign on the front of each saying "Clean / Dirty" so everyone knew what state it was in if they were helping clean-up.
