Hi All,
I just moved to downtown Fort Worth and looking to find a place to play basketball. Does anyone know of a recreational center that has an indoor basketball court. The only thing I've been able to find is the YMCA, but membership is kind of pricy. I don't mind playing outdoor and would like to know if there is a nice park with basketball goals. Ideally, I would love to join a recreational basketball league. How do I go about finding a league to play in or near downtown?. Please advise if you have answers to any of my questions.
Thanks,

There is a gym (city parks dept. ?) off of Henderson Ave. going north from DTFW, at the entrance before The Mexican Inn. Haws Athletic Center? Or something like that.

The Fort Worth Club has a smallish gym with a pretty active lunch pick-up crowd, but membership there will run around $150 / month.
There are a couple of outdoor courts under the 7th street bridge in Trinity Park.

I think there's a court in those projects due east of downtown. I'm sure you can pick up a game or two.

Haws and Bertha Collins are your best bets. The city requires a $5 ID card.
The near northside also has Diamond Hill, Northside, and North Tri-Ethnic.
