Took a visit to the Modern and Kimbell on Sunday and took a few photos. Thought I'd share them. All were taken with my new Canon EOS Rebel XT and 50mm f/1.8 lens.

Is that a reflection on the elevator door?

It's a reflection on the glass railing in front of the elevator door. Andy Warhol's self portrait and two staff members are visible.

Great pics. I love the 50mm prime lens. Did the modern ever say anything snapping pictures? I have tried it twice inside and was quickly shut down?

The Kimball still gives me goosebumps.

Never got any flack at the Modern. Photography is permitted in everything but the special exhibits, as far as I can tell - the sign specifically says "Photography not permitted in the Kara Walker exhibit." I always put the camera down any time we approached the Kara Walker exhibit, so perhaps they figured I was OK.

Very nice shots! I would love a 1.8 lens. Have you seen Canon's 1.0 50mm?

I love the one with Andy Warhol in the refelction and the one with the old man walking by.
