I haven't seen any movement on this yet (as of this weekend) but I did notice there's a website now live: https://www.fortworthpublicmarket.com/

Not the public Market but right across the street an equally amazing structure. S-T is really hitting some homeruns lately:

Wilks has been very active on Instagram showing this property off. Hopefully they will document the process.

Looks like some equipment staging has begun, there are large concrete pipes in the back of the building.

This is such a good deal. An iconic building is being saved and put to good use. Glad it's finally happening.

Some activity as seen from the Lancaster exit under the overpass. (I don't know why but PierOne / City Hall looks kind of ominous in the distance on this shot.)

If you have been driving by lately, I'm sure you have noticed that the east end brick wall of the former shed has been stabilized and braced. On driving by today, I noticed that the remainder of the burned out shed structure has been demolished, leaving only the decorative brick wall standing. Also, the area of the former W. El Paso St. has been dug up and removed.

Several columns in place now. The Vickery development visible in the midground.

Viewed from overhead, it appears a lot more space for building than I thought previously. And, what I didn't notice before is the curving road on the north side of the tract for easier access.

At one time, there was another building to the west of the Public Market on the same block. Quite some time back, I found out that it was under the same ownership and I thought I had stated here on the forum that there was quite a bit of space to build something to the west of the building.
The curving road is a result of the freeway expansion service road. The former city street right-of-way is directly in front of the Public Market and also runs beside the old Dr Pepper plant.

With this thing and the new apartments off Vickery, there's going to be a lot coming right up to the highway right there.

Are you suggesting the potential for traffic congestion at this location?

Every time I pass this project on the way to my office in southwest downtown I am heartened by the fact that this formerly dismal-looking location is going to change its appearance for the better.
100% agree with that

I watched the meeting but it did not have any audio for me, so I did not hear any discussion or decisions. I also did not hear what the plan for the Public Market was, and none of the visuals I saw were clear on that either.
