Not sure what was going on down at the river at 8pm tonight. (Old Tandy parking lot just West of Henderson)

I saw them load somebody in this ambulance.
Posted Image

And pretty sure it related to this dirt bike seen here. For one reason, we should not see that dirt bike and cop car in the same frame. No place around the river in Fort Worth is it legal to operate a dirt bike. (Also see, erosion control, liability, noise, litter and drowning)

I see bikes using that parking lot all the time to practice wheelies and the like.

I would say it's not really pretty, though it's sad when old things like that get knocked down. How long has it been since they have been used? The silos I mean.

I asked that question frequently when my (now ex-) wife was out closing down the bars every weekend while I stayed home with our 2 boys.

Hmmm...feeling something sorta kinda similar

This may be more about "Isn't the landscape nice and green?" or "playing with my new lens" than reporting on any event. I am guessing fender bender in the rain. This is Northbound I-35 service road just South of HWY 121. (car facing South, however) Still being cleared.

A little video clip of the 2012 Mud Run here in Fort Worth along and in the Trinity.
Was sad to here that one of the participants drowned in the river during the event. They could not find him until this morning. They said on the news that people with him say there was no struggle. I would think heart attack or stroke might be the reason.

Took this shot 3 minutes ago. (8:57pm Sunday) Wreck on I-35 South near 121 by downtown Fort Worth. (Shot from my balcony with 800mm lens) Not take make light of misfortune but thought the billboard in the foreground was a bit ironic in this shot.

I see this just now, this rainy Friday morning. I 35 North. I would not like to be Northbound or Southbound this AM on this strip near HWY 121.

I saw this wreck on the Freeway late on Wednesday night. (newspapers already printed) Then I see today that a woman died hitting a bridge pillar. I was not optimistic about the accident based on how long they were working it. HWY 121 Heading South on I-35. I took this shot.

Is that where you take Belknap onto 121 or you turn left sharply under a unlit bridge to a stop sign you can't see, and hope you don't get hit trying to drive up to 35W North? I try to avoid that way at night....its simply not safe.

No. But you are right about that stop sign, where you have to assume everybody is sober on not on the phone.

This was all 65mph stuff. 121 to South 35.

Saw a dude texting this morning role his car up on its side by failing to notice he'd wondered onto an off ramp, a short scene from stunt driving school and he's resting softly on his side in the middle of an off ramp.

Sorry I wasn't rolling on it, would have made an excellent youTube video.

David, I wanted to title my picture with "It looks like 99¢ burritos are back at Taco Bell." But, I was afraid somebody may have been hurt badly. I don't think any body was hurt. (I am not saying they won't all claim they are hurt, as they will.)

I am going to speculate that we are in the midsts of a grasshopper plague. Starting on Saturday, I have many on my little balcony at any given time. I started out just flicking them off the balcony but as I realize we have a problem I have started killing them. (See: Uses for old running shoes) I don't like to kill anything so I wish they would go away.

I have a Cousin that told me he was at a gas station in Waco and could hardly put gas in his car without a grasshopper jumping in his tank. Really creepy. I guess it is some function of a mild Winter and wet Spring or something. I sure wish the would go away.

I took this shot yesterday afternoon. Looks like the lead-in to a bad drive-in movie.

Very cool shot Brian - I too have noticed a lot of grasshoppers! Over the weekend, I had to do yard work for the first time in 6 months as our tenants moved out of the house and left me with an overgrown mess. There were MANY of these creatures hopping out of the grass in a dismal attempt at attacking the mower!

I've also killed a half dozen crickets in our loft - much to my wife's chagrin! <-- the fact that they have found us 80 or so feet in the air, not the fact that I killed them :)

Horrible scene I am looking at right now on North Main between Downtown and the stockyards. Main street has been closed for an hour. It would seem to me (I am guessing.) that I am looking at a fatal motorcycle accident. As always, I show no blood etc... (At least from something this serious)

I have never remembered a time when there is as many fatal motorcycle accidents. I sold my scooter recently. I have no use at all being on the highway with a bunch of texting, phone talking, possibly inebriated drives when I have no protection at all. Of course I no none of these facts. May have been a drunk, careless motorcycle rider. Whatever. I'm out.

Doing a little follow up on this story from 11 months ago. Won't re-tell the story a you can see above. (I woke up to see in the distance this fatal motorcycle accident on a Sunday morning.)

I saw this in the newspaper a few weeks ago but did not have time to post it. The girl that hit this motorcycle got 9 years in prison. (Tho, I bet she gets out in 3?) She was sure drunk. The guy on the motorcycle, Efran Lerma, was a good kid coming home from work. Tragedy all the way around. I am guessing the girl that hit him was blowing about a .3 or so.

I did not know of this. I know this stretch of Main Street; and it will now have a bit of sadness associated with me. Truly very sad and tragic for this young man's family and friends. We shall never know all the goodness that he may have contributed to our society. Will people ever realize the devastating dangers of alcohol + driving?

Thanks Brian for sharing this with us.

4:30 this morning. A Dodge Dakota, traveling North on Throckmorton Street, appears to have run into the Criminal Courts building at high speed. I would say a fatality or two. (Street shut down for hours, markings painted on the street etc...)

First shot from my balcony. My new 800. One shot from balcony. Hand held. Very good. (Amazing, really)

Grabbed my jeans, camera and 38, headed out at 4:30am to see what was up...
