Downtown Fort Worth construction has been plaguing motorists periodically over the years, but lately more streets have been obstructed.  And it looks like, from all the proposed projects, the situation is going to get worse.  Right now, Henderson and Lancaster is a problem.  The streets bordering Deco have been a problem for a while now.  Then there are the streets where the Texas A&M construction is set to begin.

In the future there will be the Omni hotel and convention center expansion projects.  Then, maybe two new towers to include the new city library?  Whew!  Us motorists will just have to grin and bear it.

Yes.  Grinning and bearing it is unfortunately the cost of growth and development.

See: downtown Austin.  Lived in downtown Austin for several years (live in Fort Worth as of October) and driving around all the construction sites there was very challenging.

The worst one, right now, is the Paradox Church. Taking Henderson/Jacksboro down to one lane has resulted in some pretty big backups. I was stuck in the traffic circle the other day.

The highrise residential building at 7th and Henderson is going to be rough too. That's two pretty major thoroughfares right there, and it will probably take several years.

Just based on my own experience, the construction on University has pushed more traffic downtown since it started last week.  There was a noticeable difference before and after.

Wow!  I've been a little out-of-pocket from forum reading lately and didn't catch this.  Thanks for posting.  Any update on when construction will begin?
