And for those that don't know Dallas has a pretty extensive tunnel network -- this is not the most interesting link, but it has the map. You can search and find many images:

The design podcast "99% Invisible" had an interesting episode about the Twin Cities Skyways and their complex, mixed legacy. The episode is about 45 minutes long and there's a summary article. https://99percentinv...ath-the-skyway/
That's a great read, if there's a listen, I'll try and check it out too. I probably spent more time in St. Paul's skyway system when I worked downtown. It was still very active and vibrant when I was there, with lots of dining options I also enjoyed the mid-day exercise it offered and had some quiet places to enjoy as well. Lots of fond memories there. Minneapolis's skyway definitely felt more like an enclosed shopping mall as they described. I seem to recall pretty much anybody and everybody could use the skyway, you'd see every walk of life, but obviously if someone were creating a scene they'd be trespassed. Minneapolis had so many more stores and places it was connected to, some really really nice stores too. The idea that skyways take away from street life doesn't really sit with me either. There was just so many more things to go to in the skyway and you could easily traverse a busy roadway or get to and from you office a lot easier than dealing with street crossings. That's not to mention, several parts of the St. Paul Skyway opened up into courtyards and street level access very readily so it was more just part of getting to where you needed to go or going to a certain place to eat or shop more readily. Plus, as I mentioned in my earlier post, you had the chance to see what the inside of buildings were like where in Fort Worth, there's a lot of buildings I've never had a chance to go inside, even if its just a lobby it still integrates with the skyway typically.

Cosettas is always good! I took this from upstairs. I guess Pear Jam was in town too at Xcel, plus the State Fair which is amazing and the Renaissance Festival is on too.Downtown St. Paul is such a cool place. Xcel Energy center, multiple museums, Cosetta's. That Children's museum pictured above makes the FTW one pale in comparison.
Man I love to visit that place whenever I go back there.

I hate to be too negative, but do you know what other museum makes the FTW one pale in comparison? The one it replaced.

Used to be an amazing theater scene there; I'd bet it still is.
