Good luck to Will... I know several groups have tried to redevelop the former Lost Creek Golf Club into more housing and with each effort have met LARGE push back from the HOA in the area and nothing has happened since the course closed 1/1/2018

 

Wow that's big! West 7th 2.0, coming right up.

I think it's more like W7th Extension.  It almost, but not quite, abuts the W7th area (a bit of Linwood in between I guess).  When the car dealers are gone I think it will eventually become one "super district" with a section of White Settlement Road in between that could potentially morph into a Magnolia/Race Street strip.  It will be interesting to see if anyone suggests a road diet for White Settlement to foster that kind of renewal/development.

 

I'd love to see a Road Diet BUT after the White Settlement bridge turned a 2yr project into a 6yr project I would imagine HUGE fear and opposition to any road disruptions for adjoining business etc etc

Tangentially related, new FLIRTs for DART's Silver Line project began testing yesterday on the TRE tracks. Silver Line is targeting an early 2026 from what I've heard. 

2026 is a long way off... to keep the Silver Line units in good operational condition I wonder if they could be "rented" to Trinity Metro to increase frequencies for TRE or TexRail

$110 million, scheduled start in April. 

Like I predicted.  This project is still at a standstill.  Why does Goldenrod keep dragging their feet on both of these projects.  They have the incentives they wanted to get both projects going and yet here we stand with 2 lots that have been cleared over a year ago.

There have been several other projects proposed after this that have already began.  I am just perplexed by the non-stop delays.

 

Maybe they want to see Terra open first?
