I'm not sure if I will make the forum lunch yet.
Friday (probably afternoon, but perhaps earlier), I will be heading to east Dallas to visit my aunt who lives there and other aunt who's visiting from out of town.
Saturday morning, I'm driving my dad and aunt (the one who's visiting) to Houston for the Rolling Stones concert at NRG stadium!

I have a drone seminar at 10am. Not sure if it will run through lunch so I'm doubtful that I'll make it.

Everyone, thanks for replying. It's always good to know approximately how many will be there, or in this case won't be there. I will see if I can twist my co-workers arms into going. We usually eat out on Fridays, but they think Benito's is too far to travel from the West Side of Fort Worth.

My cycling friend Tommy Simmons, who occasionally comes to the forum meetings, is going to meet me for lunch tomorrow.

I'd like to see you and Tommy, but I can't make it this time.

We would love to have you attend, but I certainly understand. I have been real busy at work the last two weeks, and I have left for lunch late more often than I have gone at noon. The good news is that if no one else shows up, Tommy and I can discuss cycling, Fort Worth, his wife's writings, and other things. For those of you who don't know, local author and freelance writer, Linda Blackwell Simmons is married to Tommy and is also a personal friend. I would love to get Linda to attend one of our forum meetings, but she is always so busy with things. Linda has written some great articles recently for the FW Weekly and Fort Worth Magazine.

You know that sometime, with much advance planning, it might be nice to have a grown-up weekend evening get-together; where we could gather with forum members and bring those close in our lives without the constraints of a workday lunch.

I'm planning to make it.

The months have shifted again and the meeting lines up with my working Friday. I won't say absolutely no, but it's not likely I'll be there this week.
Incidentally, there's talk that we might go to a 4 x 10 schedule in January.... then you'll be stuck with me nearly every month.

Do we have any others interested in attending? By the way, Doohickie, it will be good to be stuck with you every month.

Our special guest will be attending. You all can ask him some questions about development in the city.

Great! It looks like we will have a few people. It's come down to mostly regulars, now.

Thanks for the notification. We will miss you. If enough people are interested, I will see if I can get Luke to meet us for lunch at one of the forum meetings in the future. It will be either October or for next year. If you all remember, due to the holidays, we only try to meet once in November and December, usually between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

For those of you who could not attend, you missed a very informative Forum Meeting. We touched on a lot of subjects discussed here on the forum. You would have learned a lot.

Who was your guest (if you can say)?

Let's keep his identity only known to those who were in attendance.

The next Forum Meeting is Friday, September 27th. I had asked Luke Ranker to join us, but he is going to be out of town that day. He is going to try to join us in October. If he can't make it then, it could be iffy for our special holiday meeting date. However, I did tell him when we meet, so 2020 is open for him to visit with us.

Surprise business meeting at 2pm. Won't make it.

I was late because I received a phone call from an out of town client right before I was going to leave the office. It was a small crowd. Other than myself, only Dylan attended.

I'm planning to attend the Benito's lunch this Friday.

For those who plan to attend the Dickies Arena grand opening on Saturday, we will meet at noon. You must reserve a free ticket online to enter the arena.

We'll meet at the lower level of the Reliant Club (South Club), since it appears they have seating with tables there (so we can eat the concession food and barbeque they are selling).
If the above location is not open to the public, the upper rows of Section 125 will be the backup.

I will be there, as usual. However, I have a deadline on Monday, so I will be on a tight schedule today.

I was thinking that we would wait until January, but if there are enough people interested, I'm certainly game for this Friday, December 27. I'm off on vacation until next year, but I'm here in town.

No one has responded. Either they are too busy with Christmas, or they don't have the time afterwards and before New Year's. I will admit that since I started my vacation this last Saturday, I have been running around like crazy trying to get everything done before Christmas Day. I did take time off yesterday to ride nearly 27 miles and that allowed me to meet my goal for 2019. I now have 1,513 miles for the year, and I will probably ride a few more miles before 2019 comes to a close.
