4800 Camp Bowie Blvd.

c.1951

This shopping center is reported to have been constructed in 1951 by the Tarrant Appraisal District.  However, the styling on this center is Streamline Moderne with other Art Deco detailing, indicating it may have been constructed earlier.  At the center of the strip, is an Art Deco tower with a narrow glass strip in the center and a ziggurat shaped tower.  A flagpole is mounted on top of this tower.  Only a small portion of this center actually faces Camp Bowie Blvd.  Most of it faces Byers Avenue.
