TCU Theater
3055 S. University Drive - 1948? (Demolished - August 23, 2006)
The TCU Theater is one of the few single screen neighborhood theater
buildings that are remaining in the City of Fort Worth. For many
years, the structure housed Stage West, which vacated the structure in late
2003. For a short time the Frog Theater occupied the building
from 2005 until the Spring of 2006. The Frog
offered movies, a deli, café, gourmet coffee, free wi-fi,
and internet access. The exterior of the
building had been altered several times, including the removal of the
original sign, ornamentation, and marquee. In July 2006, Texas Christian
University purchased the property and demolished the building on August 23,
2006. |
