Winthrop Rockefeller Bldg. for Ranch Managment
2800 Stadium Drive - 1992
Lockwood Andrews & Newnam Inc., were the architects for this building.
The 7,500-sf structure offers an agribusiness program with field based lab
instruction. It is one of the smaller buildings on the TCU campus and
it utilizes more stone and less brick than the other buildings. It
uses some of the vernacular of more traditional ranch structures, yet
it respects the existing fabric of TCU's campus. The ends of the
building are flanked in stone with the sides of the building covered with
the yellow brick that matches other buildings. The columns along the
entry porch are also stone. The rear of the building features a wood
trellis supported by stone columns. |
