The Fort Worth Elevator built these two banks of silos between 1924 and 1926 along the Missouri, Kansas, and Texas Railroad tracks. The two head houses, both on the north ends of each bank of silos are 10 and 15 stories, respectively. These elevators offer a commanding presence to the areas south of Berry Street. The tallest head house is 193 feet and has a cooling tower on top, even adding to its height. During the 1940's and 50's several smaller office and service buildings were added on the site.
