Formerly:
Temple Beth-El

The Beth-El Congregation was formed in 1902. They were the first congregation in the city to adhere to Reform Judaism. In 1908, they erected a temple in Downtown at 5th & Taylor. This site was purchased in 1919 and the temple was completed in 1920. In 1946, a major fire gutted the structure. The interior was rebuilt, using the exterior walls. It is constructed with red brick and features a cast stone base and trim, and is rectangular in plan. In 1962, a two story education wing was opened to the rear. In 2000, the congregation had outgrown the building and they opened their new home in Southwest Fort Worth. In 2022, Trinity Presbyterian Church purchased the property and they have remodeled the building for their use. The remodeling included adding an elevator and an outdoor terrace below grade connecting into the basement. Their first service was held in 2024.
