Larry, Can you send me the source material info also to  dale.hinz@fortworthgov.org. I a police historian and haad not heard this one either. The head guy on the robber was Gene Paul Norris and he along with his side-kick planned the Carswell Bank Robbery also. The were caught while the made a trial run. They ran and a running gun battle ensued thru Azle. The were finally killed near a creek just off of Hwy 199.

I worked at the residence after the shooting as one of the FW police officers that made up Priscilla's bodyguard team. I can orate the looks of the inside but could not draw a floor plan to scale... If this might help I work on a narrative.......

In the mid 1950s until the 1960s, the Fort Worth Police School was on the second floor of this building.The first four black officers hired by Fort Worth, other than special officers who had been hired throughout the early years, graduated in this building.

To add, Fort Worth University was started by Addison and Randolph (Ran) Clark. It did close in Fort Worth and moved to Waco but then back to Fort Worth opened as Texas Christian University. TCU today has the AddRan School.
