Fort Worth Height Restrictions

14 August 2017 - 05:40 PM

Any chance there's a list of height restrictions by zoning?

There's this, but it only mentions height restrictions for "G" (high intensity commercial; 12 stories) and "H" (downtown; unlimited height).

Most of Panther Island is restricted to a few stories, with the exception of a few plots where you can build up to 288 feet (24-ish stories).

Apparently, there's a 5-story limit on non-residential buildings within MU zoning based on what I've read in the "Museum Place" thread.

I'm not able to find height restrictions for the Near Southside or land that's zoned industrial (which allows commercial use), but I assume they exist.

Fort Worth is planning to sue overpaid firefighters

05 June 2017 - 09:57 PM

Here's a story that bothers me: http://www.star-tele...rylink=hpdigest

Yes, the firefighters were overpaid, but it's not their fault they were overpaid. A few other retired firefighters are having to pay the city back through repayment plans.  :o

Fort Worth music video

16 May 2017 - 08:10 PM

For those unaware, I'm a Radio/TV/Film student at TCC. Over the past few months, I've been planning a music video to showcase our city. Last month, two classmates and Austin joined me in the Stockyards to record acting... then it rained. We gathered again the following weekend and were able to cover three parts of town in one day. Before acting, I went out to shoot some footage on my own, including TMS footage and skyline footage. The week after acting, I edited the video. When it was shown to the class, everyone loved it.

Hopefully, y'all do too. :)

The song is a parody of "Downtown" by Petula Clark.
