#21353 36th Division Review Pics

Posted by johnlp on 12 February 2006 - 06:18 PM

I am thrilled to have found two sets of four photos from 36th Division Review on 4/11/18 among my grand parents collection of photos I retrieved today from storage. I had only seen two published photos of this day.
They were taken by both my great grandfathers, one from the roof tops of Ft. Worth and the other on Main Street. (I'd like to find out what building he was on).
I wish I could put these in at high rez but it would take to long to load.

This might have a place already but I thought it would be fun to have a section just for vintage Ft. Worth skyline photos. I'll start with one of my favorites. smile.gif I have others that I need to scan.

Sad to think that the station is long gone! This was once home to George Carlin, Jack Burns, Bob Scheiffer, Rod Roddy, Norman Alden & Jim MacKrell. The 7th street studios (onces the Clifford Herring Sound Studios) is where Hey Baby by Bruce Chanell was recorded along with Hey Hey Paula by Paul & Paula under Major Bill Smith's record lable LeCam records.
You can visit www.kxol1360.com for more historical information. smile.gif
If you have any KXOL memories, photos, recordings, etc. please share them smile.gif

Here is a composite photo of the 3004 W. Lancaster location "Then and Now".
