Topics I've Started

Local Car Shows

13 September 2012 - 07:25 AM

I thought I'd create a place to post the inevitable photos I will take at the upcoming Cowtown Cruise for a Cure - this Saturday, September 15 from 10 to 3 in Sundance Square. No admission charge for spectators, $35 for the hot rodders to register.

Geometry

17 April 2012 - 09:05 AM

Inspired/reminded/prompted by Bruce's soon-to-be-legendary parking garage photo, I've assembled a series of pictures which are not necessarily meant to be of anything in particular - just interesting shapes and lines.

Flight Time!

12 April 2012 - 11:57 AM

My apologies in advance for the following blatant advertisement for a certain Dallas-based airline for whom my son works, and from whom we, as parents, get unlimited free (albeit standby) flights! These are various shots from our many journeys made possible by the hard work of our son!

Although this is actually another sunrise, for our purposes, we'll call it a sunset and the end of the show!

Victorian Homes

12 April 2012 - 08:25 AM

Although I have still not tracked down the Victorians in FW, I stumbled upon a neighborhood full of 'em in Galveston last weekend! Some of them need a little TLC, but what beautiful houses!

It's all in the details

20 March 2012 - 09:19 AM

One of the things I enjoy about the buildings around town are the little details - easily overlooked, but lasting evidence of the long-ago craftsmanship some of the buildings were constructed with. Several examples!
