My mom grew up in Fort Worth and here is what she had to say about this when I asked her if she remembered it:

"Yes, It was wonderful and really good food. It was my first taste of Indonesian. The place was decorated in Poly. and we went there on dates.
I started high school in 1960..."

I have to say I'm one to appreciate many types and styles of architecture and this development for me is fabulous! I personally think the modernist style is refreshing among all the typical traditional design that is so Fort Worth. And don't get me wrong, I LOVE my FTW history and all the historic buildings, etc. but to have something a little different sets the area apart and makes it interesting!

I don't know if your early 40's is considered 'young whippersnapper' but I feel young still and do have an appreciation for all that's been designed before, I just happen to like clean lined design, not too contemporary but indeed modern.

Just my opinion!

I'm interested in that information too, Longhornz32! I believe I know exactly which home you are referring to. I love it! It's clean lined, modern, yet with a Texas natural materials bent.

Curious to know both the architect and the builder.

Thanks in advance!

I really wanted to attend Saturday's walk but just knew it would be too hot. I would love to attend a future walk/tour in the fall/winter when temps are cooler!!

Thanks!
