If you haven't had a chance to peruse it, there is a great article about the cities of Texas.. With a NICE write up about Fort Worth with mentions of Quentin McGown...

Sometimes it takes more than one tank of gas in your bike to clear your head....

Quentin McGown is a local attorney, judge, professor, historian, and multi-generational Fort Worthian.  He is also a member of this forum.

Agreed.  In fact, interesting articles about all the Texas cities.  My favorite is the essay on the Kimbell museum and the impact it has had on the arts in all of Texas.  Oddly, I remember when Texas Monthly wrote an article about Fort Worth in the 70's and called it the "ugly duckling of Texas cities."  I swore even at a tender young age back then I would never pay for a subscription to that magazine - and never have.  The current cover caught my eye at the grocery store so I bought a copy.  Wow, how times have changed.  Larry McMurtry has a fun essay on Texas cities in that issue, too.

Bud was on 90.1 NPR a few days ago regarding this article. He did a great job representing the city of Fort Worth.
