They went up yesterday. I noticed them when I was downtown yesterday afternoon.

Really wrapping up. They were installing trees back onto the 9th street sidewalk today and rebuilding the curbs. Should be open next month.

Austin, have you heard about an opening date next month?  The last I heard, it was scheduled for right after the new year.

I have heard of several different opening dates, so I can't confirm on when it will actually be open.

I was driving north on Commerce this evening and as I can around the curbed portion on commerce the building was lit up by the workers still on the site and I felt like it has already made that area of downtown feel alive. When the proposed apartment tower and Hilton Annex conversion are done I believe that this area will activate and possibly create another area of downtown that could become a destination.

Now only if we can start workin on removing the Commerce Street curb asap.

Two things we are in agreement on:  a future area of activity and a removal of sort - the newly crowned ugliest structure in Downtown...the Convention Center Power Plant.

By the way, where is the parking?...OMG you don't even know that there is any..."Design Team---terrific job!"

"Armour Hotel Stockyards oh can you see..."

I agree... the plant its even uglier now that it’s next to a brand new building.
