GOP Voters Hold Out for Dream Candidate read a recent Los Angeles Times article which got me to thinking, if you could pick and choose the BEST two people to run on a ticket in the 2012 race, who would they be?

My choices:
Giuliani has been the ONLY candidate I've heard recently that seemed to have a firm grip on how best to create good jobs in America, the only one, including Perry. Perry has an average to good record when it comes to jobs, not great but still light years ahead of most Republicans and even more Democrats. Perry is well spoken, natural front guy brings people together, Giuliani is the go to guy in an emergency and someone that has a good view of the big picture, better than average grip on the facts.

What better pair, President / VP, a proud NRA Texan and a New Yorker with a grudge.

Dream team? Pshaw. Ain't nobody running or thinking of running that can even be within shouting distance of that classification.

Not if statesmanship is part of that dream.

Not yet, but I did find it interesting that when Giuliani was asked if he planned on running he answered with a question of whether Perry was running or not, made me think. What if?

Step 1: Announce you're seeking the Republican Presidential Nomination, check.

Step 2: Win Republican Presidential Nomination

Step 3: Announce Running Mate

Step 4: Kick butt, take names...

Step 5: Announce the Dallas - New York City super highway / high speed transit, okay, a bit of wishful thinking on this one.
