My husband and I opened a CrossFit, martial arts and yoga studio in the old Armory building in Fort Worth's Near Southside! It's called Brandt Fitness and Self Defense and our grand opening is Saturday, Feb. 12 (next weekend). We will have free classes all morning (schedule below), a martial arts demostration team performance at noon and a reception with food catered by Chadra Mezza. The gym is at 1289 Hemphill (www.brandtfitness.com). After the event we are going to head over to Rahr's for more celebration! The more the merrier. Here's the schedule of the free classes for the day:

9 a.m. Yoga
9 a.m. CrossFit open gym
10 a.m. CrossFit
11 a.m. Martial Arts for kids and families
11:15 a.m. CrossFit-specific yoga
12:15 p.m. Martial Arts team demo (really entertaining for kids)

I guess the big question is: did YOU go to it? If so, you could be the one to report back how it was. If not, my strong guess is the owners would be more than happy to tell you about it and show you around.
