Hopefully, these plans leave enough room for TEX Rail to be double-tracked in the future.

Not too sure there will be a need for it.

It would probably be a lot cheaper to provide for the trains to pass each other at stations rather than construct a second parallel track.

Currently, The T doesn't have the budget for double tracking TEX Rail (or even building the southwest leg). However, it would be nice to have the option to double track the line many years in the future if the need were to arise (let's say the amount freight traffic increases or more passenger trains are needed). All DART light rail lines are double-tracked to allow for high frequencies.

No straight up bar that was a fire hazard with loooooooooooow ceilings and one exit.

Two exits.  One from the street, one behind the bar.  But it doesn't matter anymore, does it?

As a cyclist, I never understood what the point of bike boxes are.  What good does it do to put slower moving bicycles in front of faster moving cars at an intersection?  How does that improve traffic for anybody?

Why do you say that?

Not Sure above pretty much stated why.

Double tracks at the station make more sense, but outside of that, there's no reason to have double tracks all the way. Just like with Denton.

Got it. My bad. I thought you meant there was no need for a Tex Rail station at this location.

Aren't bike boxes for making left turns?

That is one of the cited reasons at this site.  I still don't see why they would be beneficial in this (and most) situation(s).

Well, when bicycles pull into the bike boxes, motorists will be reminded that bicycles are using the road, too, and the motorist will think to themselves, "Oh, yeah! There are cyclists in the area. I must be more cautious and courteous!"
