I picked up an old 1909 billhead for the College Hospital in Fort Worth (No address given).

New College Hospital

Does anyone have any idea where this was?

If my memory serves me, this building was on Magnolia around 6th Ave. It was on the north side of the street. There was a nursesí dormitory there. In the early fifties I had a blind date with a nurse (in training) and that is where I picked her up. The building was old and not in very good condition.

This was located at Fifth and Calhoun. There is a photo taken from a postcard of the Fort Worth Medical College (1903) on page 235 in Richard Selcer's book 'Hell's Half Acre'. I hope this helps.

It helps a lot thanks...

I now remember seeing this picture in Rick's book when I was doing the reading for my 1855 Fort Worth ~ Hell's Half Acre Map. At that point I was more interested in the early location at 7th & Rusk which was timely for the map, so I guess it didn't imprint on my memory.

Thanks again..
