My wife and I took some photos of the post office on Lancaster today. There are several round emblems that repeat in theme across the top of the building. One of an airplane prop, one looks like a wheel or a gear, and one that I am not able to figure out what it is suppose to represent. Does anyone know what the meanings behind the emblems are?
Some other photos for viewing:

I don't know the significance of these objects, but you certainly captured them well.

I think the significance these objects pose are that they represent the different transportation modes of how mail or pretty much anything is delivered. The third object photo looked to be that of a flame or torch which represents day or night, rain, sleet or snow, it gets delivered. Or keepers of the flame, the way things are done, KNOWLEDGE. And the dove represents unity and peace. The USPO is a peaceful entity of our government.

Thanks for the pictures. You really captured the detail of that building.
Could the prop and gear represent the aviation industry in FW?

If yes, then maybe the "dove" is a GRACKLE!

Come to think of it, I SEE THAT.
There appears to be a scroll at the foot of the bird. Interesting.
