THAT'S what I'm talking about. The old energy companies in Fort Worth transitioning to NEW energy products. There is a potential for the Fort to become one of the centers of the new energy economy. Next: Wind turbine component and service firms based out of here? Solar photovoltaic panel/film production? A competitor to Tesla in the "new battery tech" industry? Neighborhood-scale micro-grid fuel cells or turbine technology? Solar-driven hydrogen generators for households with a H2 fuel vehicle?
Sorry, missed the boat on that one. Not sure that's one to hope for anyway; it's pretty dirty tech. The reason it works for Buffalo is they have the former steel plants that are already so polluted that impact from solar cell production is considered minimal. (Buffalo will soon have the largest solar cell production facility in the Western Hemisphere.)
Of course, if the tech goes mainstream, there could be several plants. But I wouldn't anticipate anything soon.
