Yeah me too.
How awful would that be.....invest in a neighborhood for 50 years, see its downs and ups, and then as soon as it's fashionable you get bought out and can't afford to stay.
No wonder people fight things like this.

I understand this but to be fair, in this situation nobody is forcing you to sell. You just might not like your new neighbors. If you do sell, then you have to hope (or with the advice of a professional, ensure) that you are getting a fair value for the property.
